Senior Executive Secretary for the Associate Vice Chancellor of Public Safety

Cora Mitchell manages the day to day operations of the Associate Vice Chancellor and Chief of Police.  In addition to managing the Chief’s busy schedule, the Senior Executive Secretary plans major departmental functions, manages special projects for the Chief of Police, and serves as photographer for departmental events.  Cora has been with Vanderbilt since 2003 and with the Vanderbilt University Police Department since 2006.  You can reach Cora by email.

Cherri Harris

Compliance Coordinator, Office of the Chief

Cherri Harris serves a vital role in the Office of the Assistant Chief of Police.  Through this role, she is responsible for special projects for the Assistant Chief and serves as the department compliance coordinator. This includes the day to day oversight of Clery compliance, departmental training on the Clery Act and Title IX and she is responsible for producing the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report.  Cherri also contributes to the department accreditation process and serves on the policy review team. Cherri has been with Vanderbilt since 2009 and with the Vanderbilt University Police Department since 2011.  You can reach Cherri by email.
