Marty Wright, Manager - Law Enforcement Systems

The Law Enforcement Systems unit, led by Marty Wright, provides management and coordination of technical projects for the department.¬† In addition, the unit coordinates VUPD’s Video Patrol program, manages the maintenance and upkeep of technical systems and assists in maintaining VUPD’s computer systems via the Vanderbilt Managed Desktop Program (VMDP).

The LES Unit serves as the primary liaison between MNPD, TBI and other agencies as it relates to information streams critical to the mission of the department.

The LES Unit manages the VUPD Cloud, blue light phones, panic alarms, A.E.D. inventory and maintenance, and is responsible for training and maintenance on all electronic devices and software. ¬†This unit is also spearheading the department’s efforts to go green by implementing and developing the utilization of electronic devices and tools which will lead to a paperless operation.
