A subject has been ARRESTED and taken into custody in connection to the Sexual Assault  reported below. He’s also being investigated as a suspect in other assaults reported in the Vanderbilt area.</p>

<p>It was reported to the Vanderbilt University Police Department that an assault occurred (sexual assault) at approximately 7:30 pm on February 10th, 2012 in the Terrace Place Garage. The victim reported she was in the garage, when she was approached by a black male who demanded she engage in sexual activity against her will.</p>
<p><strong>Description:</strong><br />
The suspect is a Black Male, Dark Complexion, 6&#8242; to 6&#8217;02&#8243; inches tall 20 to 30 Y/O, Bald Head.  He was wearing a dark shirt, with a black hoodie over it, and blue jeans. The suspect fled the area before officers arrived..</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>On Sunday, January 22, 2012 at 8:01 pm, Metro Nashville Police request the assistance of Vanderbilt University Police regarding an Armed Robbery at 2008 West End Avenue, Jack-In-The-Box restaurant. Employees there reported that a suspect entered the restaurant and ordered them to the rear of the business at gunpoint. After taking the money, the suspect fled the area.</p>
<p><strong>Description:</strong><br />
The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 5’5”-5’6”, 150 lbs, thin build wearing all black clothing and with a black bandana covering his nose and mouth. Suspect was armed with a silver or chrome pistol. His direction of escape is not known.</p>

A neighborhood resident was walking through the park when three individuals came up behind her and demanded her purse and other belongings. The suspects were described as two black males, 5&#8217;7&#8243; 180 pounds, dark clothing, no facial hair, and one black female. The black males were armed with chains and a broom stick. </p>

A neighborhood resident while walking near 24th Avenue South and Fairfax noticed a vehicle driving slowly behind her. Three individuals got out of the vehicle. One of them physically assaulted her and took her belongings. The individuals then got back in their vehicle and left the area.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>On Sunday December 11, 2011 at approximately 9:45 PM, Metro Nashville Police Department received a report of a ROBBERY on 20th Avenue South near Terrace Place.  The victim reported that she was standing by her vehicle when the suspect walked up to her and said, &#8220;Give me your pocketbook or I will shoot you.&#8221;.  The victim replied back to the suspect, &#8220;Are you serious?&#8221;.  The suspect then chambered a round into his gun and pointed it at the victim.  The victim gave the suspect her purse, and the suspect then walked down Terrace Place towards 21st Avenue South.</p>
<p><strong>Description: </strong><br />
The suspect was described as an &#8220;older&#8221; black male around 6&#8217;1&#8243; inches tall with a thin build; he was wearing a navy toboggan, black jacket and had a &#8220;fuzzy&#8221; beard.  He was armed with a semi-automatic type handgun. and purses, the suspects fled on foot running down 16th Avenue toward Edgehill Avenue.</p>

<p>At approximately 10:30pm on November 28th Vanderbilt University Police were notified of a forcible fondling. A female studying in Sarratt Student Center reported the person sitting at the table behind her put his hand on her buttocks. The female immediately left the area and contacted police.</p>
<p>The suspect has been identified and has been barred from campus pending investigation into the incident. </p>

<p>CANCELLATION of ALERT VU</p>
<p>DATE: November 15, 2011</p>
<p>An ALERT VU Notice was sent earlier today in reference to a robbery on campus at Lupton Hall. VUPD issued this notice based on preliminary information in an effort to inform the community as quickly as possible of a potential threat.</p>
<p>The incident involved several acquaintances in a dispute. Though the incident is still under investigation, there is no ongoing threat to the campus community. Whenever VUPD receives reports of serious crimes or threats to the Vanderbilt community, every effort is made to provide accurate and timely information so everyone can make informed decisions about their safety. Because of this, complete information is not always available and VUPD puts out the best information available to us at the time and sends updates as the investigation evolves.</p>
<p>Alert VU is Vanderbilt University&#8217;s emergency notification system. It is available to Vanderbilt University students, faculty and staff on a voluntary, opt-in basis. Users may enter as many devices as they wish and specify the device order in which they would like to be notified.  Students may also enter a contact number for a parent if they wish for a parent to be notified of emergencies at Vanderbilt.</p>
<p>Alert VU is the latest addition to emergency communications at Vanderbilt, and will be used only for emergencies posing an imminent threat or danger to the Vanderbilt community. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>On Sunday November 6th 2011 at approximately 12:30 am, the Metro Police Department received a report of a ROBBERY on 16th Ave South between Edgehill Avenue and Wedgewood Avenue, about two blocks east of the Peabody campus. The two victims, who are Belmont students, said that they were walking back to Belmont from downtown on 16th Avenue and were nearing Wedgewood Avenue when they were approached by two males, one of whom was armed with a handgun. The suspects told the women to give them their cell phones and purses. After the women gave them their cell phones and purses, the suspects fled on foot running down 16th Avenue toward Edgehill Avenue.</p>

SUSPECT #1:  male black, 6&#8217;1&#8243;, in his 20s, wearing a dark-colored stocking cap (not covering face), and baggy, dark-colored sweatshirt.<br />
SUSPECT #2: male black, 5&#8217;10&#8243;, in his 20s, wearing a dark-colored, three-quarter length windbreaker, armed with a silver handgun.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>On Saturday November 5th 2011 at approximately 8:55 pm, the Metro Police Department received a report of a ROBBERY in the parking lot of the McDonalds Restaurant at 2700 West End Avenue next to Centennial Park. A man stated that when he walked out of the restaurant he was approached by three males, one of whom had his hand in his pocket and said that he had a gun, though no gun was actually seen by the victim. The suspects told the man that they wanted his money and his wallet. After he gave them his wallet, they fled on foot running down West End Avenue toward 31st Ave.</p>
<p><strong>Description: </strong>Three males all in their twenties. One was a male black wearing a black hoodie. One was a male black wearing a blue hoodie. One was a male white wearing blue jeans and a red t-shirt.</p>
