SECURITY ALERT Aggravated Assault

It was reported to this department that an aggravated assault occurred at approximately 11:45 pm on October 22 at 2408 Kensington Place (Pi Kappa Alpha). The victim reported that two unknown suspects were observed inside the house attempting to take a purse stored for safe keeping. When confronted by an occupant of the house, one of the suspects threatened the victim with a set of brass knuckles. The victim and other members of the house instructed the suspects to leave. The suspects left the house walking east on Kensington Place.

Suspect Description:

Suspect #1 Male black, 18-20 years old, 6'0", 180 pounds, black hair, and brown eyes. The suspect was wearing a diamond earring in his left ear and was last seen wearing black pants and a black long sleeve shirt with a white stripe.

Suspect #2 Male black, 18-20 years old, 5'10", 170 pounds, black hair brown eyes. The suspect was last seen wearing a red shirt.

Vehicle Description: Late model 2 door Pontiac Grand Prix Maroon in color.

  • Ask for an officer to meet & escort you from your parking space.)
  • Scan the area before you exit or approach your vehicle/building and while you proceed between sites.
  • Have your key ready in hand to quickly access the door of your vehicle/building.
  • If strangers approach, maintain a distance and be observant; if they are in a vehicle, get the license plate number.
  • Lock doors and windows of your room/building. Don't prop open doors, thwart security measures, or let strangers in.
  • Avoid going to ATM's alone, after dark, or if suspicious persons are nearby.
  • Think ahead about what you would do under dire circumstances. Try to get a description.
