SECURITY ALERT Armed Robbery

It was reported to VUPD that an armed robbery occurred on October 26 at approximately 2:20 a.m. in Lot #17, located by Carmichael Towers East. The victim, a student, reported that while walking through the lot two male subjects approached him from behind and asked for money. One suspect placed a handgun at the victim's side. The victim handed the suspect his money. The suspects were last seen running down 24th Ave S towards West End Ave. The victim was not injured during this incident.

Suspect Descriptions:
Suspect #1--- Male Black, 6'0". The suspect was last seen wearing all black clothing with a hooded sweatshirt which was pulled over his head. The suspect also had a black cloth covering most of his face.
Suspect #2--- Male Black, 6'0". The suspect was last seen wearing all black clothing with a hooded sweatshirt which was pulled over his head. The suspect also had a blue cloth covering most of his face

  • Ask for an officer to meet & escort you from your parking space.)
  • Scan the area before you exit or approach your vehicle/building and while you proceed between sites.
  • Have your key ready in hand to quickly access the door of your vehicle/building.
  • If strangers approach, maintain a distance and be observant; if they are in a vehicle, get the license plate number.
  • Lock doors and windows of your room/building. Don't prop open doors, thwart security measures, or let strangers in.
  • Avoid going to ATM's alone, after dark, or if suspicious persons are nearby.
  • Think ahead about what you would do under dire circumstances. Try to get a description.
