Workplace Violence

Workplace violence includes but is not limited to intimidation, threats, physical attacks, domestic violence, or property damage.
 
There are five types of workplace assailants, which include the following:
  1. The Angry Customer
  2. The Medically/Mentally Ill Patient
  3. The Criminal
  4. The Batterer in a Domestic Dispute
  5. The Disgruntled Employee
 
If you are a victim of violence in the workplace, please report the incident to Vanderbilt University Police Department, your supervisor, and/or the Employee Assistance Program.
