Reporting to the university’s Senior Associate Vice Chancellor & Chief of Police, the Deputy Chief of Police’s background will demonstrate a commitment to the ideals of Vanderbilt’s mission to bring out the best in humanity - pushing new ideas into the frontiers of discovery, challenging the limits of what’s possible, and working diligently in the service of others.

The Deputy Chief of Police manages the required interagency coordination with a variety of local, state, and federal agencies in law enforcement, disaster preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery, as well as ensuring communication and partnership with local colleges and universities, and public service and community-based organizations.
