Fingerprinting

Fingerprinting services are offered to members of the Vanderbilt community (faculty, staff and students only) who need fingerprints for licensing, citizenship, internship applications, etc. A valid photo I.D. and Vanderbilt I.D. are required, and the service is provided free of charge.

To make an appointment contact Sergeant Eugene Kessler at (615) 322-3068 Monday to Friday between 8:00 and 5:00 (Optional: email eugene.b.kessler@vanderbilt.edu)

  • Fingerprinting appointments are normally available every Wednesday between 2:00 pm-6:00 pm. Please do not come in without an appointment.
  • Report to 115 28th Avenue South at your appointed time. Please park in any available VUPD visitor parking space. A doorbell is located on the right side of the door in front of the building; please ring the bell and someone will assist you.

If you were sent Fingerprint cards please bring them along with a state issued driver’s license and your Vanderbilt ID.  If you do not have any Fingerprint cards, we have the standard FD-258 Fingerprint cards at this location.

On occasion, due to police department demands, appointments may not be available, or may have to be rescheduled. You will be contacted as soon as possible if a reschedule is necessary.
